I like Urban Dictionary. Their definitions for things are very interesting and sometimes just inappropriate. I looked up the work ritual and it was the third definition made sense, at least to what today's post is about - an action repeated on schedule. Rituals...let's see :)
My first ritual of the day is actually hitting snooze on my alarm clock at least three times. I have 5 different set alarms on my phone, because sometimes it's so hard to wake up in the morning! Once I finally do rise and shine I do the usual and go to the bathroom :) Doesn't everyone do that first? Lately I've been washing my hair at night, so that I don't have as much to do in the morning. So, when I get up in the morning I straighten my hair, put my makeup on and get dressed. In that order. Then I'll head down stairs to eat breakfast. That is my morning!
I'm trying to make the gym after work a daily ritual now; at least 5 days a week. My trainer has got me super motivated and I'm really dedicating myself to getting my weight to where my doctor wants it. I saw him (doctor) on Monday for a regular check up and the first thing he said to me was, "we didn't hit our weight loss goal did we?" With a big smile on his face! It's a good thing he's a nice guy.
After work and the gym I'll go home, shower, put on my pj's and join my family for tv and dinner. I'll work on my blog and try to catch up on emails. Before I go to sleep I write in my journal and read a little bit.
