31 Random Acts of Kindness - Guest Post

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I have a very special treat for you. My lovely friend Caitlin over at Crossroads of the Heart has a fabulous guest post for you. Take it away Caitlin!

Hello Looking to the Stars Readers!
I first met Erica at a Virginia Blogger Meetup in February of 2013.  Upon first impression, she was light and bubbly (in the best way), and knew about all things pop culture – one of my greatest weaknesses.  Immediately, I knew that I could learn a lot from her.
Erica even helped me with one of my arch nemeses: a red wine spill on my brand new carpet.  “Well, you just scrub it out with salt or club soda!” she told me.  Duh!  Do you know how many times I have used one of those techniques, girl?!
Erica’s little tips and pop culture facts have saved me during the most crucial of times.  Need a recommendation for a book club?  Just pop on over to Looking to the Stars book feed.  It’s the little things like Erica’s super-quick-wine-clean-up suggestion to her thorough pop culture updates that inspire me to also create good, positive energy in the world.  In fact, this is one of the drivers behind my most recent project to conduct 31 random acts in 31 days.
Last year, I also dedicated the month of October to conducting little random acts in the world.  If you want to see the acts I performed, click over here.  But, the best part about this project is that I invite people all over the world to join me in the effort – people, like you!
I would love for you to also perform a random act of kindness this month – or all 31!  If you want some ideas for various acts, check out the infographic or my how-to post.  We also have a Facebook page and a Twitter handle.  And, if you’re reading this on a late date in October… jump right in; it’s never too late to join! ☺
If you are wondering, there is only one rule about participating, which is to please tell someone about 31 random acts!  As I said in my original post last year, if you can get even one additional person to perform a random act in October, you will double your impact on the world!
Thank you for hosting these thoughts, Erica, and for being an inspiration in the world!
“The great acts of love are done by those who are habitually performing small acts of kindness.” ~Victor Hugo
