Happy Sunday Social

Happy First Sunday of 2014!  I promise that Tuesday will be the last day I say that it's the "first day..." of whatever...haha!  Let's get on with it!

Sunday Social

1.Do you plan to change any of your eating habits in the new year?
YES!!!  As of today I am healthy eating.  I am going grocery shopping today and I'm getting good food.  Nothing unnecessary.  I got some "last" meals out of the way and definitely relished.  I am definitely one of those people who has no will power when it comes to certain foods.  Every time I try to put, let's say pizza, out of site to help lose weight, I always crave it.  Jillian Michaels says that of course I'll still have cravings and that eating the healthier version will take time to adjust to.  I just need to give my taste-buds time.

2.  Any workout tips to get us back in shape after the holiday?
Dude, I went indoor rock climbing with my brother yesterday and that stuff is tough!  I very apparent from yesterday that I have no upper body strength.  I need to fix this!  Also, when you're doing the treadmill it's all about the incline.

3.  What is your favorite thing you did over the holidays?
Hmm...I think just spending time with my family.  Mom and Dad live 4 hours south, so it was really nice to have them up here.

4.  What is something you hope that you accomplish in 2014 that you did not in 2013?
Definitely becoming debt-free.  I've been trying to do this for years and it will definitely be possible this year.  Super excited!

5.  Name 3 things happening this year you are excited about and why.
Darius Rucker Concert on March 1st ~ He's going to sing Wagon Wheel and all of Roanoke will sing along to the line "walkin' to the south outta ROANOKE." I can't wait!
Thanksgiving in New York City! ~ Thanksgiving Day Parade in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Introduction to Screenwriting class ~ When I lived in LA I dated a guy who was an aspiring screenwriter and it kind of rubbed off on me.  I really think I have a knack for it.  There are several books that I've read that I think would make GREAT movies or miniseries or whatever else.  When I saw Saving Mr. Banks there was one particular scene that made me think, "I want to tell stories like this."  So, this fall I'm going to take a screen writing class at NOVA.  The intro class is a one day, 6 hour class.
