First Friday!

Welcome to the New Year everyone!  2014 is going to be marvelous ~ I can feel it!  I hope everyone had a fabulous time celebrating new year's eve.  Whether you were out partying it up, keeping it low key with friends and/or family, or keeping it extra low key in your pajamas while trying to stay awake for the ball drop (ps - this was not me, but my parents...haha).  Here's a look back at my last week of 2013 smooshed in with my first week of 2014.
Last Friday was the day my parents left to go home to Roanoke.  We went out for breakfast at this great restaurant in Shirlington called Busboys and Poets.  Dad snapped a picture of me and momma!

Last Saturday, December 28th, I went to Hill Country BBQ in D.C. to see a friend's band play.  Matt and I went to high school together and he is in a great band called The Floorboards.  Check them out.  They are awesome!

Wednesday was New Year's Eve!  I got together with some friends and we went into down town Washington, DC to Board Room.  It's a bar that supplies you with TONS of board games.  It doesn't have a kitchen, so you can bring food in with you or have it delivered to the bar.  We had a table and some bubbly.  It was a good time had by all!

One of my thirty birthday gifts was this really pretty journal.  I started it on Wednesday.  The front says "Follow Your Dreams..." and on the back it says "They Will Always Lead the Way."

Starting today I am doing the "31 Days of Living Well & Spending Zero (0)."
AKA ~ A Money Freeze
Ruth has some great tips on how to save money.  I am going to keep track of every dime I spend from January 3rd to February 2nd and try to figure out how much I have saved. One of my goals for 2014 is to become debt-free, so hopefully this will help. Wish me luck!

Have a fabulous weekend!  Go link up and meet some awesome bloggers.  It will totally be worth your time!
