Now You See Me...

Come in close, because the more you think you see, the easier it will be to fool you!

One word…AMAZING!  This movie kept me on my toes the entire time, beginning to end.  Speaking of the end…I never saw it coming and neither will you!

Now You See Me is about four street magicians who come together for one great show on a global scale!  An FBI agent and an Interpol detective attempt to track down this team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.

Jesse Eisenberg plays a sassy know-it-all card trick magician.  Then you've got Woody Harelson who's a smart ass mentalist and really good at reading people's minds.  Dave Franco (James Franco's little brother) is a shitty little street-smart pedalist and Isla Fisher is a hot little illusionist.  Mark Ruffalo plays the FBI agent trying to track them down; he doesn't believe in magic.  Morgan Freeman plays a man that capitalizes on de-bunking magicians and Michael Cain just plain gets screwed! Quite the cast of actors. They all do a fantastic job.

Going into the movie I knew it was about magic and illusions and that they robbed a bank in France.  You get all of that in the trailers.  The more you get into the story the more things unfold and the more things make sense.  Well, as much sense as magic can make.  From the beginning there's this mystery character and it could be anyone of the 'muggles' out there (people who don't do magic...Harry Potter term).  This movie takes me back to the night long ago that I saw David Copperfield live.  He flew!  How did he do that?  How did they do any of that?  It really is remarkable.  Being that this is a movie, of course there are more tricks that can be done with cameras and CGI.  It still all looked real to me.  But then again, I have a very vivid imagination!

I give this movie 5 stars.  I really enjoyed it and I think you will too!
