*The last 2012 High Five for Friday*

Happy Friday everyone!  Today came so quickly.  I have been home for a week and am finally well enough to head back to Northern Virginia.  I love coming home and visiting with my mom and dad.  My brother was in Park City working, so he wasn't able to spend Christmas with us, but he was with us in spirit!

I am linking up with Lauren, From My Grey Desk, for today's High Five for Friday.

Since today is the last Friday of the year, I thought that I would do a High 5 for 2012.

1. When I moved back in 2011 I was working for Thompson Hotels.  In April of this year the hotel I was working at was bought by Kimpton Hotels.  I was lucky enough to be able to stay on with the company.  In November of this year I received a promotion from Assistant Front Office Manager at Donovan House to Catering Sales and Service Manager at The Rouge. I am loving my new job and am so happy that the opportunity came along!
"All Things Red" is the story of the Rouge  - I fit in well with my red hair!

2. When I moved here in April 2011 I moved in with Jacq.  In August of this year we split off and got our own places.  Jacq and I still see each other and hang out, but I love having my own apartment.  It's a small studio, but it's all mine!  I live on the 14th floor and have an amazing view of Washington DC.
This is the view from my apartment window!

3. In May of this year my mom and I traveled to New York City!  We had an amazing time and it was quite the adventure.  We took the train up (got off at the wrong stop...sorry mom!) and walked all over the city.  We took a double decker tour of the city...we are still bummed we missed out on Brooklyn, but we'll tackle that next time!  We got to see Anything Goes and absolutely loved it!  New York was a blast!
This show was so much fun.  They tap dancing just amazed me!

4. For my 29th Birthday, yes that means I turn 30 in 2013, mom surprised me with tickets to see Kelly Clarkson in concert!  SHE WAS AWESOME! We had so much fun.  I would totally see her in concert again.  Mom and I had a blast.  While she was in town we also explored Old Town Alexandria.  We love it down there!
Me & Mom at Jiffy Lube Live for the concert!

5. In April of this year (April 19th to be exact) I celebrated my 1 year anniversary of having moved back to the East Coast.  Living in Los Angeles was fun, but I'm so happy to be back where I am closer to my good friends and family.

I hope everyone is taking the time to appreciate the wonderful moments they have had over the past year.  I am grateful for everything that happened, but am also very much looking forward to a new year and new possibilities ahead!

Happy New Year!
